- ·Up to three pages can arrive in a day: today's letter, sometimes a bottle from far away (a page written long ago), and—if you've been writing for a year—a page from you, one year ago today.
- ·Your own past pages are always there for you to look back on.
- ·Your page may reach someone too. It arrives as "a stranger's page"; the reader doesn't know it was you.
- ·You can write one page per day. You can rewrite it as many times as you want, within the same day. Once you seal it, today's letters are decided.
